Tri-Fit Roxy Women’s Hyrox Shorts and Bra Review

A stay-put Hyrox set with real bra support

As a hybrid athlete I’ve worn my share of activewear fails: unsupportive bras, shorts that ride up, straps that slip mid-race. For Hyrox especially — where running, functional strength and high-intensity intervals collide — your kit has to stay put under pressure or it becomes a distraction. The Tri-Fit Roxy set is one of the rare exceptions that genuinely gets it right. I tested the Roxy Crossback Sports Bra and Roxy 4” Shorts through a demanding conditioning session of SkiErg intervals, sled pushes, walking lunges and wall balls. My thesis: a premium-feeling, true-to-size set that stays firmly in place and actually supports.

WSS™ Assessment

Inclusive Fit & Proportional Sizing — 4/5 ★★★★☆

The fit itself is genuinely female-cut and reassuringly accurate: I’m typically a UK 6 at 5’1” and the XS fit perfectly in both pieces, snug yet never restrictive. Tri-Fit nails true to size where so many brands wobble, and the longline bra adds welcome midsection coverage.

Functional Performance in Use — 4/5 ★★★★☆

This is where the set shines. The Roxy 4” Shorts gave complete freedom of movement through deep squats, lunges and sled work, and the waistband stayed put all session — no mid-circuit adjustments. Even with more muscular thighs I had minimal riding up, often the deal-breaker with shorter styles. Both pieces stayed sweat-proof with no visible marks across a genuinely high-movement Hyrox workout. Performance under pressure, sorted.

Adequate Support Standards — 4/5 ★★★★☆

Because this set includes a bra, support really matters — and the Roxy Crossback Sports Bra delivered. The longline design adds stability while the crossback straps distribute support evenly across the shoulders and allow unrestricted mobility for SkiErg and wall balls. It held me securely through running intervals and burpees without slipping or digging in. I’ve held back a point only because Tri-Fit doesn’t publish a formal impact level or cup range (A–HH) — but in real Hyrox use, the support stood up.

Thermal Regulation & Material Performance — 4/5 ★★★★☆

The fabric feels premium: a luxurious, second-skin softness with enough compression for high-intensity work, and no chafing or irritation across the session. Both pieces stayed visibly sweat-proof under sustained exertion, which speaks well to the moisture handling.

Genuine Female Design — 4/5 ★★★★☆

This is design for women, not pink-it-and-shrink-it. The crossback configuration is real engineering — secure fit, even support, free shoulders — and the longline cut adds functional coverage and confidence rather than decoration. The 4-inch shorts give flattering coverage that moves with the body through dynamic stations. The cut, not the colourway, does the work, and it suits women’s proportions properly.

Transparency & User Reviews — 4/5 ★★★★☆

My score here rests on documented hands-on testing: a full Hyrox conditioning session, real sizing notes (XS on a UK 6, 5’1” frame), and real observations on stay-put fit, bra support and sweat performance. The practical claims — true to size, supportive, sweat-proof — I could verify in use. What’s still missing is independently published lab, durability or impact-rating data, so I’d love to see that substantiated, but the qualifying evidence from sustained use is strong.

Pros & Cons

What I loved:

  • True to size in both pieces — XS fit my UK 6, 5’1” frame perfectly
  • Crossback bra that genuinely supports through running, burpees and wall balls
  • 4” shorts that stay put with minimal riding up, even on muscular thighs
  • Premium, second-skin feel with no chafing
  • Sweat-proof across a full high-intensity Hyrox session
  • Strong value at £45 per piece

Gentle watch-outs:

  • No published impact rating or cup range for the bra
  • No independently published size range, lab or wash-durability data
  • Shorter 4-inch length won’t suit everyone who wants more coverage
  • Sold per piece, so a full set is two purchases

Who It’s For / Who It’s Not For

It’s for you if you’re a Hyrox athlete, functional-fitness enthusiast or hybrid trainer who wants a true-to-size set that stays firmly in place, supports through high-impact movement and looks fantastic doing it.

It’s not for you if you need a published high-impact certification or extended cup range before you’ll trust a bra, you prefer longer-leg shorts, or you want the single cheapest option going.

Size & Fit

True to size — stick with your usual. I’m typically a UK 6 at 5’1” and wore an XS in both the shorts and the bra: snug, comfortable and never restrictive. The compression is supportive without being overly tight, and the longline bra adds coverage around the midsection. If you’re between sizes or want a more relaxed feel, size up; for most athletes your regular size should be spot on.

The Verdict

The Tri-Fit Roxy Crossback Sports Bra and 4” Shorts are a winning Hyrox pairing: premium-feeling, true to size, and genuinely stay-put through running, sled work and wall balls. The crossback bra supports where it counts and the 4-inch shorts resist riding up, all while staying sweat-proof. At £45 a piece it’s strong value, and I’d love published support and durability data to seal it. For comfort, fit and dependable performance, this is a set I’d reach for — a constructive 3.7 with room to climb.

FAQ

Is the Tri-Fit Roxy set true to size?

Yes. I’m typically a UK 6 at 5’1” and wore an XS in both the shorts and the bra with a snug, comfortable fit. Stick to your usual size; size up only if you prefer a more relaxed feel.

Does the Roxy Crossback bra give enough support for Hyrox?

It did for me. The longline crossback design stayed put and supported well through running intervals, wall balls and burpees, with even support across the shoulders. Tri-Fit doesn’t publish a formal impact rating or cup range.

Do the 4-inch shorts ride up during lunges and squats?

Barely. Even with more muscular thighs I had minimal riding up across walking lunges, deep squats and sled work, and the waistband stayed put with no mid-workout adjustments.

Are the shorts and bra sweat-proof?

In my session both pieces stayed sweat-proof with no visible marks, even through SkiErg intervals, sled pushes and wall balls. They felt premium and dry throughout.

Is the Roxy set good value at £45 per piece?

I think so. At £45 a piece it’s well below many premium brands that charge nearly double, and you get endurance-focused comfort, stay-put fit and real support for the price.
